Ms. Rehana Afgan

Ms Rehana Afgan is the founder and initial benefactor of the Safe Pakistan Welfare Trust (SPWT).
Mrs. Afgan was born and raised in Karachi. She attended the University of Toronto for her undergraduate studies.

In 1986 she lost her eldest daughter Ms. Shella Afgan to a tragic accident (at the tender age of 13 years in Karachi), after which she has dedicated her life and her resources to the cause of social uplift of poor and the downtrodden.

Lt. General (R) Moinuddin Haider

General Moinuddin Haider is a retired lieutenant general of the Pakistan Army, who after retirement served as the Governor of Sindh and then as the Interior Minister of Pakistan.

He was commissioned in the Pakistan Army in 1962 first in the 26th PMA Long Course in the Frontier Force Regiment. He did his Masters in Defence Studies from Royal College of Defence Studies, Seaford House, UK, and has the distinction of being the first Pakistani to get his thesis published in Seaford House Papers.

Maj Gen (R) Zafar Naqvi

General Naqvi joined Pakistan Army in 1966 during the war with India and was commissioned as a second lieutenant in 1966, graduating from the Pakistan Military Academy's 37th long course.

He commanded a Light Air Defence Unit and this unit was the first unit of Air Defence which was inspected by Quaid-e-Azam. General Naqvi was placed in command of the largest brigade of the Pakistan Army. He took command of an Air Defence Brigade in Karachi. In 1995 he became commander of an Army Air Defence Division.
